The Dragon of Rainier part 1: Jeralyn Smith
Snow flashed past the entrance of the cave. A chilling wind reached me and I shivered and I rubbed my talons together. Although I am a snow dragon the cold makes me cold for normal snow dragons the cold makes them warm. My crest of horns clattered as I shivered. My tail lashed back and forth against the frozen ground.
This was the first blizzard of this winter but Mount Rainier's lava was warm and it kept me mostly heated. My teeth clattered as I shook from the cold. I shook myself and walked toward the streams of lava.
I am Frost the snow dragon of Mount Rainier. I have lived here forever and will stay here forever thanks to the curse of the rubber duck. The curse of the rubber duck was put on my egg. A rubber duck got mad at my parents and he put a curse on my egg it ensured I was to die of cold if I ever left this cave.
So I've been trapped here ever since. The only way to break the curse is to find the duck's egg that was hidden by my parents somewhere in this mountain. That is when I heard the quack...
